ADOBE RANCH

On Saturday morning of the workshop, we visited an outpost of the Adobe Ranch, north of Globe, Arizona. The owners Joe and Jill, and their 2 year old son Cooper (aka Coop), were gracious enough to let 15 rabid photographers run free for the morning, mystifying the horses and freaking out the hounds. Later that morning, two models, Shannon and Toni, retained by Bill and Linda (the co-hosts of the workshop) arrived, and Bill took on the arduous task of educating the model-ignorant photogs on how to work with live people. That's Shannon in the picture in row 8 below with Bill (he's the one with the beard). Hopefully you can see below that Bill was at least partially successful in challenging all of us to use the environment (backgrounds, lighting) to take photographs of the models in unusual contexts.
