We have moved! We now live in Fountain Hills, AZ, a community known for its small town feeling (about 24,000 residents) and magnificant scenery, located a few miles east of Scottsdale. Fountain Hills borders on the McDowell Mountain Regional State Park to the north, the Fort McDowell Indian Community to the East and South, and the Scottsdale McDowell Sonoran Preserve to the West. Thus Fountain Hills is totally surrounded by undeveloped land - Arizona at its best! Yes, the move was partially dictated by the desire for a great view from the house, so I could photograph monsoon lightning storms from the safety of a covered patio. Bring on the monsoon season!

We were fortunate to find a home on a hillside on the border of the undeveloped land to the south and west (see panorama immediately above), and with unobstructed views to the east. The view to the east (see image at top of this page) includes the landmark Four Peaks, 25 miles to the east of the house. These 4 peaks reach 7500 feet, and are featured on the bottom of the Arizona license plate.
